GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT RACE ACROSS SERIES

  • The Race Across Series are ultra-distance road and gravel cycling events open to all. Organized in different destinations around the world, they are all based on a common principle: semi-autonomy.

    Solo or as part of a team, you'll follow a route marked out by us, with rest and assistance bases, all in a safe environment. Whether you're looking for a sporting challenge, an adventure or an unforgettable experience, you'll find every distance an opportunity to take on your own challenge - without ever being totally alone on the road.

  • Registrations take place in two phases:

    • Phase 1 - "Waiting List" priority: opening on October 15, with a preferential rate valid for 24 hours and in limited quantities.

    • Phase 2 – Ouverture gĂ©nĂ©rale : Ă  partir du 16 octobre, jusqu’à 30 jours avant le dĂ©but de l’évĂ©nement.

    • Phase 3 - Last chance: from 30 days to 10 days before the start of the event.

    Registration closes 10 days before the event, unless quotas are reached earlier.

  • Semi-autonomy means that each participant must be able to manage on his or her own between two living bases, and/or from departure to arrival, whether for food, equipment, sleeping arrangements or unforeseen events.

    ⚠ No outside assistance (food, mechanics, etc.) is permitted outside the base camps, on pain of immediate disqualification.

    On Basecamp , competitors may receive assistance from the organization and from their family and friends/team. All types of assistance are authorized on our bases.

  • There are two ways to register:

  • To finalize your registration, you must provide :

    Medical certificate

    * Less than one year old at the date of the event.

    * Obligatory statement: "No contraindication to competitive cycling".

    * A valid FFC or UCI competition license may replace the certificate (see list of accepted licenses in the regulations).

    Proof of experience (only for distances of 2500 km and 1000 km)

    * To be sent after registration.

    * Allows the organization to validate your long-distance experience.

    Rescue and repatriation insurance

    * Provide contract number, insurance company name and validity date.

  • Anyone aged 18 or over at the time of the event, in good physical and sporting condition, wishing to take up a unique challenge and experience an exceptional adventure.

  • Each participant, whatever the format, is considered an individual and must have his or her own compulsory equipment (see regulations).

    SOLO

    The participant rides and finishes alone.

    Drafting is forbidden.

    Total autonomy required - no outside assistance outside the base camps

    DUO / TEAM OF 4

    Members ride and finish together.

    Drafting is only allowed between team members.

    This is a group adventure - no outside assistance outside the basecamps

    Any other team format is not permitted.

  • '- Yes, mandatory to take part in the Race Across Paris and Race Across France, unless you have an accepted license (see regulations).

    The certificate must :

    Be dated less than one year before the date of the test.

    Indicate: "No contraindication to competitive cycling".

    To be transmitted via our partner Dokeop, according to the instructions given at the time of registration.

    👉 No other documents or mentions will be accepted.

    No, not mandatory for other events and destinations.

    However, it is your responsibility to ensure that your state of health allows you to make a prolonged effort over several days.

  • Yes, participants are classified by age group:

    Under 29

    30 - 34 years old

    35 - 39 years

    40 - 44 years

    45 - 49 years old

    50 - 54 years

    55 - 59 years

    60 - 64 years

    65 - 69 years

    70 and over

  • Only muscle bikes (without electric assistance) are authorized, provided they comply with the Highway Code.

QUESTIONS ABOUT MY REGISTRATION

  • Your registration includes : Participant kit, Safety and supervision, Refreshments, Finisher's trophy and finisher's t-shirt, Luggage logistics, Official photos, Traced and recognized course, 24-hour Operational Management Centre, Support from our volunteers, Events, goodies and partner offers.

  • Each registration contributes directly to the quality and safety of your experience and adventure. Here is the indicative breakdown of your registration:

    25.0%: Operating expenses (salaries, taxes, social charges, commissions)

    24.9%: Logistical organization (rental of premises, kitchen, vehicles, equipment, volunteer expenses)

    16.2%: Communication & visibility (website, social networks, photos/videos, influencers, promotion)

    13.5%: Health & safety (first-aid teams, doctors, supervisors, vehicles)

    12 % : GPS beacon (rental, tools, support)

    4.4%: Course design (recognition of courses, meetings with partners and local players)

    4.0%: Programming (events, speakers)

  • Your registration is valid only for the event you have chosen.

    However, you can :

    - Subscribe to the "Postpone race bib " option (up to 30 days before the event).

    - Add cancellation insurance (via our partner), which allows reimbursement under certain conditions.

  • A refund of your registration fee is possible under certain conditions, depending on the date of your request in relation to that of the event.

  • Changes to your registration are possible up to 30 days before the start of the event, subject to availability. Each modification is subject to an administration fee of €30 incl. VAT. 👉 For detailed terms and conditions, see the regulations: https: //raceacrossseries.com/reglement/

  • Yes, you can modify your entry (change distance or SOLO / TEAM format) up to 30 days before the event.

    👉 If you switch to a more expensive distance: you'll have to pay the price difference, plus a €30 incl. tax administration fee.

    👉 If you switch to a cheaper distance: no refund of the difference will be made, and the €30 incl. tax administrative fee remains applicable.

  • No. The resale or transfer of race bib is strictly forbidden.

    Each race bib is personal and nominative: it cannot be passed on or sold to another person.

  • Yes, several options are available:

    đŸ›Ąïž BEticketing Cancellation Insurance (by Assur-Connect): refund in the event of cancellation, subject to conditions.

    🔄 Deferral option: possibility of deferring your entry to another event in the current or following year (same format and distance).

    💰 Refund conditions: managed directly by the organization, in accordance with the official regulations.

    đŸ€° Special case - Pregnant woman: we suggest you postpone your registration until 3 years after the initial date.

  • Yes, some events require previous sporting references as well as excellent physical and sporting condition.

    For distances of 2500 km: you must meet one of the following conditions:

    - Be a finisher of an event: 500 km (-12 months), 1000 km (-36 months) or 2500 km (any past edition).

    - Or provide a reference for a long-distance cycling event or self-organized adventure of at least 500 km (-12 months) in 48 hours.

    For 1000 km distances: you must meet one of the following conditions:

    -Finish a race: 300 km (-14 months), 500 km (-24 months) or 1000 km (-36 months).

    - Or provide a reference for a long-distance cycling event or a self-organized adventure of at least 300 km in 24 hours.

    📌 References must be entered when registering (in the field provided) or added later in your registration area.

    They must be sent no later than 30 days before the event to validate your registration.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

  • The license is only required for the Race Across France and the Race Across Paris:

    ✅ FFC or UCI licenses: accepted without medical certificate.

    ⚠ Other licenses (FFTri, FFVĂ©lo, FSGT, UFOLEP, etc.): a medical certificate is still required to validate registration (stating "no contraindication to competitive cycling").

  • Your start time will be sent to you by e-mail approximately 30 days before the event, when the Startlist is published.

    - Individual start at a fixed time, determined by order of registration (first to register, first to start).

    - 30-second interval between each participant/team.

    You must be present 20 minutes before your allocated time.

    ⚠ Start times are assigned by the organizers and cannot be changed at a participant's request.

  • The definitive version of the route will be sent to you by e-mail no later than 30 days before departure in GPX format and/or made available on a platform.

    Once registration has opened, you will also receive illustrations and a presentation outlining the route (subject to change).

  • Depending on your country of origin, a visa may be required. Make sure you check the requirements and contact your embassy/consulate as soon as possible.

    ⚠ Only the official confirmation of registration will be accepted as proof by the authorities.

  • Yes, optional shuttles are available for certain events.

    They enable :

    - pick-up from the nearest train station or airport,

    - a return from the finish line to certain start areas.

    👉 Available options and all practical information are specified during the registration process.

  • ✅ Bag or suitcase: each participant benefits from the transport of a bag (max. 30 kg / 50 L) from the start line to the finish, included in the registration fee. The bag must be deposited in the designated area a few hours before departure and will be returned on arrival.

    đŸšČ Bicycle hard case / Bikebox: also available as an option, to be declared when registering. Chargeable option.

    For rigid bikeboxes, please leave them open and do not add any personal items, to facilitate logistics.
