The purpose of these Sporting Regulations is to define the rules governing participation in the event.
Participation in the event implies the express and unreserved acceptance by each competitor of these Sporting Regulations and of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the A.B.E. association.
Both documents apply to the various events organized by the association.

Miles Republic is a French company specializing in the creation, marketing and organization of sporting events. Miles Republic is acting on behalf of the A.B.E. association, and is responsible for the technical and commercial organization of the event.

These Sporting Regulations may be modified at any time and without notice by the Organizer up to the day of the event. The applicable version of the Sporting Regulations is the one online on the event website.

• Race Across Series events are ultra-distance cycling events, held on open roads and in semi-autonomy.

• The Organizer proposes different distances for each event, from 200 km to 2500 km.
  Participants must respect the Highway Code in force in the country they are crossing.

• Bases are provided for participants to rest, refuel and drop off and pick up their personal bags.

• Each event has specific time limits, beyond which participants are disqualified.

• Race Across Benelux (May 27 to 31, 2026)

• Race Across France (June 18 to 28, 2026)

• GRAAALPS (July 14 to 19, 2026)
  All Road & Gravel: 300 km (48 h) - 500 km (72 h) - 800 km (120 h)

• Race Across Switzerland (July 22 to 26, 2026)
  Road: 200 km (12 h) - 300 km (24 h) - 500 km (48 h) - 1000 km (96 h)

• Race Across Québec (August 13 to 23, 2026)
  Road: 200 km (12 h) - 300 km (24 h) - 500 km (48 h) - 1000 km (96 h) - 2500 km (240 h)

• Race Across Spain (September 16 to 20, 2026)
  Road: 200 km (12 h) - 300 km (24 h) - 500 km (48 h) - 1000 km (96 h)

• Each event is a course to be completed in its entirety, by bike, following the GPS track provided by the Organizer.
  Participants must comply with the Highway Code in force.
  Events are held solo, in pairs or in quartets, depending on the distance.

• Each participant receives a GPS beacon to track his or her progress.

• The bases are accessible to participants and their companions.

• Participants must be self-sufficient between two bases.

• All external assistance (other than lifebases) is forbidden.

• Drafting is forbidden, except between members of the same team (duo or quartet).

• Participants can buy supplies from shops open to all.

Living bases

A. Opening and closing

The bases of life open and close according to a schedule defined in relation to the time barriers.
Any participant arriving after the official closing time may be disqualified, at the Organizer's discretion.
Participants wishing to continue outside the time limits will do so under their own responsibility.

B. Equipment

Each Basecamp offers at least :

• a "Friends & Family" area,

• a drop bag deposit/recovery area,

• a refreshment area,

• a rest area,

• showers and toilets,

• a recharging area for electronic equipment.

C. Provisioning

The bases offer a range of supplies including :

• hot and cold drinks,

• solid food (sweet and salty),

• a main course,

• vegetarian options.

Refreshments are strictly reserved for participants.

• Two categories are defined:

• Standard: road, gravel or mountain bike without assistance.

• Open: any non-conventional human-powered bike (tandem, handbike, recumbent, etc.).

• All team members must use the same type of bike.
  The Organizer may authorize an early start for certain Open categories.

Changing bicycles is prohibited without authorization from management and/or the PGO

Road :

• 200 km : 12 h

• 300 km : 24 h

• 500 km : 48 h

• 1000 km : 96 h

• 2500 km : 240 h

GRAAALPS:

• 300 km : 48 h

• 500 km : 72 h

• 800 km : 120 h

For distances of 500 km, 1000 km and 2500 km :

• each participant must take a minimum rest period of 4 hours every 36 hours of the race.
  Compliance with this time limit is monitored by GPS.
  Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

A. race bib

The race bib is withdrawn on presentation of :

• the Miles Republic QR code,

• license or medical certificate,

• an identity document,

• information on repatriation insurance.

• The race bib must be worn at all times and be visible throughout the event.
  The Organizer may carry out checks.

  B. RAF - Drop bag

  • 2500 km: 2 drop bags allowed

  • 1000 km: 1 drop bag allowed

  • 500 km: none

  • 300 km: none

• Drop bags are to be deposited at the departure base and collected at the bases provided by the Organizer.
  A bike luggage repatriation service can be offered as an option.

  RAP / PARIS / BENELUX / SWITZERLAND / QUEBEC / SPAIN - Participating bag

• Participants can leave a personal bag at the departure/arrival base, with a maximum volume of 50L and 30kg.
  A bicycle luggage repatriation service can be offered as an option.

• D. GRAAALPS - Drop bag

  • 800 km: 1 drop bag allowed

  • 500 km: none

  • 300 km: none

• Drop bags are to be deposited at the departure base and collected at the designated bases.
  A bicycle luggage repatriation service can be offered as an option.
  

  C. Bag collection on arrival
  

• Bags are repatriated by the Organization according to the logistics provided.
  No early access is possible.
  Any bag not collected on arrival may be returned at the participant's expense (minimum €30 + transport costs).

Certificate of good health and physical fitness

All participants certify that they are in good health, fit to take part in an intense endurance event, whatever the distance, with no medical contraindications (cardiac, respiratory or other), and that they are fully aware of the physical and environmental risks associated with this type of adventure.

Participants acknowledge that they are taking part at their own risk, and undertake to adopt a cautious attitude suited to their physical abilities throughout the event.

Anti-doping clause
All participants declare on their honour, at the time of registration and throughout the duration of their participation :

• not be subject, at the time of registration and participation, to any disciplinary or medical sanction related to an anti-doping rule violation issued by the AFLD, the UCI, or any other competent national or international authority;
  
  

• undertake to comply with all anti-doping rules in force;
  
  

• accept that in the event of a false declaration or breach of contract, the organizer reserves the right to refuse entry, cancel participation or invalidate the result, without any reimbursement.
  
  

• The organizer may, at any time, verify the compliance of participants via the public lists of suspended athletes (AFLD, UCI, etc.) and reserves the right to exclude any participant in the event of a proven breach, without prior notice.
  
  Random doping controls may be carried out at Race Across Series events. Each participant undertakes to submit to such tests without restriction or opposition, and to cooperate fully with the authorities or approved bodies in charge of such tests.
  
  
  
  Participants must be aged 18 or over.
  An exception may be made for minors taking part as part of a team, provided that a parent or legal guardian is part of the team and that supporting documents are provided.
  
  Participants must provide a valid medical certificate or license, stating "no contraindication to the practice of competitive cycling".

• • The certificate must be less than one year old at the time of the test.

  • Documents must be submitted in electronic form via the Dokeop platform.
    Medical checks may be carried out by the Organizer.

• Participants must have previous experience of long-distance events.

• The Organizer validates entries no later than 30 days before the event.
  Any false declaration will result in disqualification.

Required and recommended equipment

Each participant must have a safety pack including :

• Certified helmet (CE or CSA STANDARDS, CPSC, ASTM)

• Bike lights Front, rear x2 and headlamp (with recharge)

• High-visibility vest or harness

• GPS with routes

• Repair kit (multi-tools, tubes, tubeless included)

• Reflective strips (shrouds and forks)

• Phone charged with PGO number

• 2 survival blankets

• Min. 1L water and food reserve (+400 kcal)

• Whistle

• Waste bag

• Code padlock

• Eco-cup

For the 1000km and 2500km and 800km (GRAAALPS)-: add the comfort pack (rain jacket, down jacket, gloves, hat/neckwarmer, bivy bag).

👉 Recommended equipment: mattress, power bank/dynamo, warm clothing, lubricant, multi-purpose knife, cash...

⚠️ Checks at race bib withdrawal and unannounced; penalties if items missing.

Departures & Services

• Individual starts every 30 seconds, by category (SOLO, DUO, TEAM4).

• Order based on registration date; exception 2500 kmrace bib kept for life for finishers).

• Must be present 20 min before departure.

General services: security provided by local authorities; medical assistance provided by appointed service providers; possibility of de-proofing for safety reasons.

Penalties & Disqualifications

Immediate disqualification (Cat. 1): unauthorized assistance, out-of-team drafting, vehicle, anti-doping refusal, non-assistance to a person in danger, missing safety pack material, serious incivilities.
Time penalties(Cat. 2): missing plate (2h), littering (4h), missing comfort pack material (4h), unregistered media vehicle (12h).

Acceptance & Ethical commitment

The participant acknowledges :

• The extreme risks of ultra-distance

• The need for complete autonomy

• The obligation to assist others in danger

• Respect for volunteers, organizers and other riders

Entries: compulsory briefing, wearing and returning of GPS, compliance with regulations, attendance at ceremonies, compulsory accident insurance.

Abandonment & Repatriation

• Obligation to notify the BMP.

• Return of GPS (otherwise 350 € incl. VAT).

• No repatriation covered by the organization.

• Abandonment in DUO/TEAM4 is tolerated, but the team is only a finisher if it crosses the finish line together.

A. Health protocol

In the event of a pandemic or specific sanitary measures, the Organizer will apply a dedicated protocol.
Access to the event may be subject to the presentation of sanitary documents (e.g.: sanitary pass, negative test).
Participants will be informed by email.

B. SOS & PGO (operational management station) (Security center)

An emergency number will be provided for each event.
The PGO (Security center) will centralize calls, coordinate assistance and liaise with the relevant services.
Each participant must record this number in his or her telephone before the start.

C. Highway code

Each participant undertakes to comply with the Highway Code and local traffic regulations.
Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification.

• Insurance covering rescue and repatriation costs is compulsory.
  It must be valid for the entire duration of the event.

• Links to Assur-Connect are provided for each event.
  Proof of insurance must be submitted no later than 30 days before departure.
  
  The associations RIDE EAT SLEEP & SHARE, ULTRA CYCLING Switzerland and the co-organizing structure A.B.E have taken out third-party liability insurance covering the duration of the RACE ACROSS SERIES and GRAAALPS events.
  
  ⚠️ The organization is in no way responsible for participants' equipment (bicycles and/or personal belongings), in the event of theft, loss or damage caused by a third party or by the participant him/herself.
  Each participant acknowledges that he/she assumes full responsibility and undertakes to take out appropriate personal insurance, if necessary.

Changes & Refunds

• Changes possible up to D-30 (€30 fee + any price difference).

• Postpone race bib option: only if subscribed at registration.

• Refund policy:

  • Up to 4 months before: 50% - €30 admin fee

  • From 4 to 2 months: 25% - €30 admin fee

  • Less than 2 months: 0

BEticketing cancellation insurance recommended (third-party service via Assur-Connect).

Claims & Disputes

• Written complaint within 8 days of the event (e-mail or post).

• Mediation available through CMAP (Paris).

• Any sporting dispute: exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (Switzerland).

Exceptional conditions

The organizer may modify: routes, departures, bases, time barriers.
In the event of force majeure: postponement, neutralization, cancellation possible without compensation.

Image rights & Exploitation

• Each participant authorizes the use of his or her image (photo, voice, video) for communication or commercial purposes for 10 years.

• Exploitation limited to personal use by participants.

• The Race Across Series and GRAAALPS trademarks are registered; any commercial use must be authorized.

Personal data protection

• RGPD compliance and French law.

• Data retained for 10 years (legal medical certificate).
