Race Across Benelux

A unique journey departing from Amsterdam, blending culture, endurance, and exploration

An iconic start, three countries, one adventure.

Race Across Benelux takes you on an extraordinary journey through the heart of Europe’s cycling scene, starting at Amsterdam’s legendary Olympic Stadium, with a course designed by Ben Georges and approved by Paulin Crochet and Niels Claudy.

But keep in mind, each distance has been designed with its own logic 👇

A clear and structured format

Map of the Race Across Benelux 1000 km route ⚠️ Minor adjustments to the route may be made.

1,000 km
The only route starting in Amsterdam
A two-stage format: a 500 km open route, followed by a 500 km loop

200 km, 300 km, and 500 km
Start and finish in Arlon
Loop courses designed for simplified logistics and a gradual immersion

This choice allows everyone to enjoy the Race Across experience at their own level, while ensuring the course remains consistent, safe, and easy to follow.

Breweries: an immersive experience, not just a setting

On this tour, the breweries are more than just a nod to the theme.

They are an integral part of the region.

The Benelux region has a deeply rooted brewing culture. You’ll pass through villages where the brewery is the heart of the community, travel past abbeys where traditions have been passed down for centuries, and discover a new generation of microbreweries.

The goal was never to create an artificial constraint or folklore.

On the contrary:
- offering a natural, visual, and cultural immersion
- without ever compromising safety or the smooth flow of the experience

Runners stay on clear, fast-paced routes that are rich in meaning.

A clear philosophy of the journey

To sum it up:

An endurance ride where pacing and immersion take precedence over speed.
(with one notable exception: the fast sections in the Netherlands)

Here, raw performance isn't enough.

What will make the difference:
• the ability to adapt
• managing the wind
• reading the terrain
• maintaining a clear head over the long haul

The course was designed to be a gradual progression.
There are no sudden changes, but rather a gradual increase in physical and mental intensity.

An authentic region

Three countries. Three identities. One shared culture.

The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg offer a unique perspective on Europe:
• open, rolling plains
• roads steeped in history
• more rugged terrain in the south

And at the heart of it all, a clear common thread: cycling… and beer.

Iconic sites such as:
Orval Abbey,
Maredsous Abbey,
Chimay Abbey, or
Rochefort Abbey
dot the route like major cultural landmarks.

Key moments

Some moments will leave a deeper impression than others:

The start in Amsterdam (just 1,000 km)
A unique adrenaline rush in a city synonymous with cycling.

A Journey Through the World of Beer
A timeless atmosphere, blending heritage and tradition.

The long, wind-swept stretches
Where the race becomes as much a mental challenge as a physical one.

A meaningful start

Starting at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam is no small matter.

It's a symbol.

A place steeped in history, which immediately lends the race a sense of grandeur.
Add to that a city entirely dedicated to cycling, and you have a start that perfectly aligns with the race’s DNA.

More of a journey than a race

The Race Across Benelux was designed to be a complete experience.

Not just a sporting event.
But a cultural, geographical, and human journey.

Breweries aren’t just an added attraction.
They reflect a vibrant region.

And what if, at the finish line, the runners walk away with:
• powerful images
• a range of emotions
• the feeling of having experienced something authentic

Then the goal will be achieved.

Meet at the starting line.
